As human beings we have basic spiritual needs to be known, have companionship on our life’s journey, and make meaning out of our life experience. Spiritual Care at Walker is geared toward providing this kind of spiritual care.

Walker is able to meet the needs of this kind of personalized service through a trained staff of chaplains. Walker is also home to the City of Lakes Consortium CPE Center which trains seminarians and chaplains in pastoral care skills. The presence of the consortium center and the interns that train here have allowed Walker’s pastoral care staff to be on the leading edge of current trends in pastoral care delivery. The department’s focus is always on looking for creative ways to serve the important spiritual needs of Walker’s residents.

The Walker Campus houses its own worshipping community. Walker Chapel offers rich liturgical ecumenical worship on Sunday mornings at 10:15 a.m. Walker’s talented chapel musician Thor Anderson leads music on the 15 rank Hendrickson Pipe Organ and Walker’s Estonia Grand Piano.
